usa-tax-news is the latest addition to the Lowtax Network of sites, which was launched in 1999 by an established international business publisher to fill a perceived need for an electronic source of information on offshore and 'low-tax' regimes worldwide.

Now the Lowtax Network covers more than 70 offshore and onshore countries world-wide, focusing on legal ways of minimizing tax for business operations, individuals and investors.

In spite of bad timing (1999 was no moment to start a dotcom!) the first site, www.lowtax.net, was an immediate hit with visitors and advertisers alike. Now, seven years later, there are six sites, attracting more than 100,000 visitors monthly, who clock up more than 300,000 page views. Our editorial team of 20 newswriters and journalists strives every day to maintain a complete, thorough and accurate service.

Visitors are divided roughly equally between end-clients (business-people, investors, expatriates) and professional service providers (lawyers, accountants, consultants). This geographically-diverse audience comes from many walks of life, but as we know from their e-mails, one thing they have in common is an appreciation of the quality of our content.

Except for the Lowtax Library (see opposite), our content is free to the user, with revenue being derived from advertisers and 'syndication' clients - other web-sites which buy our content.

Building the sites and developing good visibility on search engines required substantial investment, but the business turned the corner in 2002, and has been profitable ever since.

www.lowtax.net: 1,500 pages of detailed, factual information covering the tax and legal regimes in 45 offshore and 25 onshore countries.

www.tax-news.com: a daily worldwide tax news service with a 22,000 story searchable archive.

www.investorsoffshore.com: news and reference data for alternative investors and expatriates.

www.offshore-e-com.com: news and background on offshore e-commerce.

www.lawandtax-news.com: news and reference material on law and tax for international businesses, covering 20 key world-wide countries.
